In an ever-evolving digital landscape, Communication Service Providers (CSPs) face the constant challenge of keeping pace with rapidly changing technologies, while meeting the demands of their customers and ensuring seamless network performance. That’s why at Infovista we have always been committed to working with our customers and partners to unlock agility, remove barriers to collaboration and accelerate the monetization of CSPs’ networks, services and experiences. But this must be an ecosystem-wide effort. To support it, Infovista is committed to the TM Forum’s Open Digital Architecture and its Open API initiative.
Why openness matters
The TM Forum has been at the forefront of creating standards and best practices for the telecommunications industry for several decades. Their manifestos represent a visionary and pragmatic approach to modernizing and unifying the architecture framework for CSPs. By taking the strategic decision to sign-up to the ODA Manifesto, Infovista is committing to follow the design principles and modular approach underpinning our cloud platform and solutions. Together as an industry, we can extend the benefits a cloud-native enterprise architecture blueprint can offer to the 5G ecosystem where CSPs require more than ever plug-and-play interoperable software tools.
However, delivering openness is about more than a standardized architecture. Openness is built through Open APIs. Standardized Application Programming Interfaces act as bridges between different software applications and systems, enabling them to communicate and work together seamlessly. That’s why we believe Open APIs are increasingly important – they foster collaboration, interoperability, and innovation among industry players.
By signing the TM Forum ODA and Open API Manifestos, Infovista is not only embracing this vision but also actively participating in its realization.
How Infovista is delivering on the promise of openness and interoperability
A standardized cloud-native architecture allows CSPs to be more agile in deploying new services and innovations. By adhering to common standards, they can reduce development time and costs, enabling them to roll out new services and features more quickly. This translates to a faster response to customer demands.
We are delivering on the Manifesto commitments today through our Ativa™ Suite of automated assurance modules and solutions built on an open, integrated, cloud-native platform that connects the power of data, analytics, AI/ML and automation to boost efficiency, elevate customer experience and accelerate time-to-revenue for CSPs.
A concrete example of how interoperability can be applied with Ativa is the recent Root-Cause Analysis Automation project with BT where Ativa was integrated with ServiceNow trouble-ticketing system using TMF Open APIs in a fast, plug-and-play approach, delivering immediate significant efficiencies to BT’s customer troubleshooting process.
A bright future for Openness, Interoperability and Automation across digital ecosystems
By signing the TM Forum's ODA and Open API Manifestos, Infovista is reaffirming its commitment to innovation and collaboration. Together with industry partners, we are forging a path towards business-driven automation that delivers value today and into the future.
But openness and interoperability are not just about technological advancements. It's about outcomes – enabling service providers to deliver superior services to their customers, ensuring seamless experiences and uninterrupted connectivity. As the digital landscape continues to evolve, Infovista is here to provide the solutions CSPs need to thrive. By adopting the ODA blueprint and Open APIs, Infovista is contributing to a more connected and efficient future for the entire telecommunications ecosystem.
We're excited about this new chapter in our journey and look forward to working closely with our industry partners and customers to drive innovation and excellence in service assurance. Together, we can create a more connected and reliable world.
Stay tuned for more updates and innovations as we continue to embrace the power of openness to unlock new growth and efficiency opportunities for CSPs and the wider digital ecosystem.
