Infovista’s Xeus is a mobile network Geographical Information System (GIS) Optimization software expert system capable of analyzing and identifying the common root causes of drop calls, block calls and low quality in the network from the perspective of the radio network. Xeus combines exceptional visualization capabilities with advanced drive test and traffic measurement recording analysis, including statistics import, plotting and charting.
This course is designed as a fast-paced, hands on-training. The course leads the students through basic cell planning, drive test visualization and analysis, KPI reporting, advanced report customization and call trace analysis. This course is based on the latest product version of the Xeus components.
This course is designed for all technical audiences, particularly RAN optimization engineers who will need this course in order to operate and fully utilize the Xeus solution. RAN optimization personnel will find this course necessary in order to understand the true capabilities of the system. Due to the nature of the course it is recommended that participants already have prior knowledge in RAN fundamentals, especially in the optimization domain.
Prerequisites and Related Courses
It is recommended that students have a general working knowledge of MapInfo with version 7.8 or higher installed in their workstation, as well as have basic use of Windows applications.
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Perform basic cell planning which includes channel & code planning,
Visualize drive test log files to perform events analysis and benchmarking,
Utilize the smart algorithms for missing neighbor and swapped antenna and overshooting analysis,
Perform advanced report customization for KPI reporting purposes,
Perform call trace analysis via Geo-location method based on measurements captured from actual network subscribers,
Create an action plan report based on analysis.
By applying the skills and concepts taught in this course, you will be able to successfully utilize Xeus to visualize and optimize radio network related issues.
