The Single Monitoring Unit (SMU) is a lightweight, highly versatile and self-contained field test module. It can be deployed in remote locations and brings the power of TEMS Monitor Master to any environment.

Offering high test frequency, with more than 100 test executions/hour and the ability to test any kind of mobile and broadband service, it delivers powerful, real-time reporting for instant response and analysis. The SMU can be installed anywhere, providing remote test capabilities for LAN, Wi-Fi and cellular networks for indoor and outdoor locations.

The SMU is packaged in a sleek, light and thin design, which means its unobtrusive and highly portable. Backed by the powerful Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8300 Processor and self-recovery mechanisms, it’s an ideal solution for 24/7, autonomous testing.

RTU-5 - Remote Testing Unit

The Remote Testing Unit (RTU) provides powerful test capabilities for any kind of mobile or broadband service and network, with the ability to run more than 300 test cases each hour. It can manage 2 phones and up to 4 modems, allowing simultaneous testing across multiple devices.

The RTU provides comprehensive reporting, delivered over the LAN for a consolidated view from different locations. Real-time reporting allows instant analysis of reports. When problems are detected, the ability to quickly retest in the affected area results in rapid problem resolution.

TEMS Monitor Master includes comprehensive tools that allow the efficient scheduling of test cases. Alarms can be defined for exceptions and test failures, which provide instant alerts to the team. Checks allow each alarm to be tested for correct configuration which saves time once a program has been launched, avoiding false alarms and enabling faster analysis of results.

For example, an alarm can be defined on conditions such as “20% of VoLTE prepaid calls failed during the previous 30 minutes”. The severity can also be assigned, so that escalation procedures can be followed.

The workflow allows each alarm to be sent to a specific team, ensuring that key data is delivered to the right personnel for action. There is no need for mediation or intermediate analysis, which means there are no undue delays in MTTR and that the correct information is made available, in real-time.
