Introducing TEMS for Connected Car
As connectivity transforms the automotive space – the industry is realizing that wireless connectivity can’t be taken for granted. The more value that connectivity delivers the more the impact of gaps and performance variability.
TEMS for Connected Car is a remote testing and monitoring solution that brings visibility and predictive coverage to connected vehicles and vehicle applications. Automotive OEM’s and connected mobility application providers can leverage this data and information to improve performance and assurance.
umlaut score indicator
TEMS Paragon users will now be able to send TEMS log-files to Infovista and have them evaluated by umlaut communications GmbH (previously known as P3 Communications GmbH). Customers will be able to order an umlaut score indicator for the networks in their country and understand how they compare with the dozens of mobile operators that have already been scored by umlaut.
Infovista will make this service available to all TEMS Paragon customers that have the latest features and devices (as used by umlaut).
Support for 5G NR device testing
TEMS Investigation allows customers to verify the interworking between the 4G and 5G network using commercial 5G devices.
TEMS Investigation can decode the Qualcomm x50 chipset, and therefore record the 5G NR measurements, information elements and events recorded by a number of devices based on this 5G chipset.

A highly sensitive 20 MHz front end for any input frequencies from 350 MHz to 4400 MHz, and an FPGA-based software-defined architecture offer unsurpassed performance while providing maximum flexibility.

Introducing 5G Scanning
The PCTEL HBflex and IBflex scanners are highly flexible test tools with 5G NR testing capabilities on sub-6 GHz bands. The PCTEL HBflex also has support for mmWave scanning.
Both scanners can be used to clear spectrum or test 5G NR alongside LTE, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, and legacy 3G and 2G wireless network technologies.
The automatic pin-pointing, utilizing technology available in most smartphones supported by TEMS Pocket reduces the time to collect measurements with about 50%.
Instead of focusing on where to add the next pinpoint, you can now walk at your own pace making use of the built-in smart positioning functions in the phone. The auto pinpointing also leads to a more accurate positioning of each measurement, which in 5G NR becomes even more important.
This is part of our automation program for smart testing and is currently included in TEMS Pocket Professional offerings.
sQLEAR – A new, innovative AQM algorithm, trained using the latest machine learning techniques, validated and evaluated in conformance with ITU standards.
It uses a combination of network parameters, codec/client information and reference audio to predict MOS scores with proven high accuracy for VoLTE services using EVS.
sQLEAR scores are comparable between device models and suitable for benchmarking scenarios.
