Depending on the desired system under test, testing can be performed using virtual agents in the core network or real devices across radio and core.

In some cases, deployment can be carried out in hours, enabling a very rapid view of the functioning of the IMS service.

Figure 1 highlights how the active monitoring solution uses terminals to provide end-to-end monitoring of service QoE. Figure 2 indicates how the solution can be used to perform multi-layer service monitoring and also of the IMS core. This extends to virtualized network functions and allows organizations to correlate element performance with QoE, predicting issues before the occur.

Combined, the two diagrams illustrate how a complete view of service performance can be obtained, enabling proactive prevention, faster problem resolution and the ability to continuously improve customer experience.
