One of the main challenges that cloud apps face is that the public Internet is now becoming part of the customer WAN. In this environment, the performance of cloud flows can be jeopardized when competing with non-critical flows, such as YouTube or Dropbox, at the transit point to the Internet. Additionally, cloud connectivity through a backhauled Internet solution, for instance, amplifies bottlenecks and generates extra interactive-latency and large time loads.
