90 day free licensing offer taken up by 30 operators in 25 countries since release in April
PARIS, FRANCE, APRIL 9th 2020 – Infovista, the leader in modern network performance, today announced a new module for its TEMS™ Investigation solution to allow ongoing drive testing conducted by mobile operators to meet social distancing requirements in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The optional module will be made available for free for 90 days as part of the Infovista response to the ongoing health emergency.
Every day, operators across the world conduct drive testing to ensure that mobile networks are working as expected - a critical requirement not just for consumers but to ensure reliability for first responders and critical national infrastructure. However, the drive testing process often requires a two-person team within the same vehicle.
Developed by Infovista and released as of 2nd April, the new TEMS™ Investigation Driver-Only option allows operators that had previously sent out two person teams of a driver and operator for mobile network analysis to instead use an automated option that directs routes, captures data and alerts the sole driver with tasking data.
“We have contacted clients across the world and so far operators in over 25 countries have upgraded around 100 vehicles to carry out TEMS network analysis in Driver-Only mode,” says Jose Duarte, CEO for Infovista, “We are now working on a variant that will allow for remote, real-time inspection via the IP network that could potentially be useful for field service technicians that need to work as a team while still observing social distancing.”
