MEF Excellence Awards Finalist Will Speak on Best Practices for Assuring Service Orchestration Functionality and the Impact of SD-WAN Adoption
PARIS & HERNDON, Virginia – October 31, 2016 – Infovista, the leading provider of network performance orchestration solutions for a better connected and collaborative world, today announced that it will be showcasing a proof-of-concept (PoC) and participating in two panel sessions at MEF16, which takes place November 7-10, 2016 in Baltimore, MD. Developed alongside Oracle, Adva Optical Networking, and Juniper Networks, Infovista’s PoC will center on enabling customer-premise cloud-based services with Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO).
This will be the third consecutive year that Infovista participates in a PoC with other industry innovators to demonstrate next-generation network services. This year’s PoC introduces multi-vendor distributed customer premises equipment (CPE) with orchestration of software enabled value-added services such as application performance visibility, SD-WAN and virtual security services. This is combined with MEF standardized end-to-end performance management using MEF’s LSO architecture over multiple operators.
As a finalist in the 2016 MEF Excellence Awards, the Oracle-Infovista-Juniper-Adva solution exemplifies the collaborating companies’ leadership in delivering Third Network services over automated, virtualized and interconnected networks.
- “The MEF’s Third Network Vision is driving the service and technology innovations that will reshape the communications landscape,” said Christopher Cullan, director of product marketing, business services solutions, Infovista. “We are proud to again be able to contribute to a showcase of the leading implementations of agile, assured and orchestrated Third Network services, and to be recognized for our efforts in helping CSPs reap the benefits of LSO.”
- On November 8 from 3:15-4:45 p.m. ET, Christopher will speak on the Industry Perspectives panel, “Orchestrating Services Across Physical & Virtual Domains and Multiple Provider Networks.” During this session, Christopher and other expert panelists will discuss the criticality of assurance, a key component of LSO’s Service Orchestration Functionality (SOF) and imperative considerations for enabling service transparency of next-gen agile services over multi-operator networks.
- On the same day, from 4:45-5:30 p.m. ET, Jonathan Forest, vice president of enterprise products at Infovista, will join the panel, “What Is Driving SD-WAN Adoption & How Will This Impact the Services Market?” Along with other service providers and SD-WAN vendors, Jonathan will address the benefits of SD-WAN, what is required to ensure application performance, and SD-WAN’s long-term impact on the hybrid WAN services market. The panel will also highlight SD-WAN technology’s early adopters and their typical use cases for implementing it.
