Webinar: The Importance of Ethernet Backhaul Performance Visibility

In an upcoming webinar, Patrick Donegan of Heavy Reading and my colleague, Juan Prieto, will be discussing how a tailored service performance reporting portfolio can help wholesale Carrier Ethernet providers achieve market differentiation through network and service quality visualization. The webinar will explain how and why they can increase their bottom lines by equipping mobile service providers with performance visibility and differentiating their offerings based on metrics other than simply price, such as Quality of Service (QoS).

The primary challenge that Ethernet backhaul providers are experiencing is a strong focus on the price of backhaul services rather than the benefits associated with these services. Ethernet backhaul providers must figure out how to increase the value of their “dumb pipes” and avoid partaking in price wars with competitors.

At the same time, mobile service providers face a major obstacle: the lack of service metric visibility required to assure end-to-end QoS. This presents a significant opportunity for wholesale Carrier Ethernet providers to step in and better position themselves, grab additional market share and stave off price erosion.

In order to increase the value of their backhaul offerings, wholesale providers need a proactive Carrier Ethernet service assurance strategy that not only consolidates data and metrics, but also analyzes these to provide an end-to-end view of the network and the quality of services. With such a tool, wholesale providers will not only realize savings in OPEX and CAPEX, but also high differentiation within the marketplace and a consistently high Quality of Experience (QoE) for customers.

Join us next Thursday, October 6th, to learn more about what wholesale Carrier Ethernet service providers can do to differentiate their backhaul offerings with a unified service assurance platform, and how actionable performance intelligence can help increase both market share and the value of their Ethernet backhaul services.
