Looking back on 2022 – An award-winning year for Infovista’s Network Testing and Measurement Solutions

Dec. 22 2022

Over the past 12 months at Infovista we’ve invested heavily in the expansion and development of our suite of network testing and measurement capabilities, building upon the market-leading position of the TEMS portfolio to provide CSPs with a new era of solutions designed to work with a new era of complex cellular networks.

Precision Drive Testing

This has included developing automated 5G testing routines increasing testing speed and accuracy with technology innovation such as Precision Drive Testing™, which leverages 5G network and service data, along with ML/AI techniques to create a closed-loop of automated and guided testing. Precision Drive Testing has transformed the drive testing process for critical routines such as site verification from being engineering-driven to AI/ML-data driven, from manual to autonomous and from something very few can do to something that can be done by anyone.

User Experience Testing

We also developed and successfully carried out user experience testing for e-gaming, through our new generic pattern profiling. By emulating traffic patterns of highly interactive and intensive services, such as the First-Person Shooter (FPS) game genre, MNOs can validate if their network can deliver a great UX for subscribers playing other mobile cloud games. In addition to e-gaming, we’ve also brought UX testing to OTT voice and video streaming apps such as WhatsApp and Netflix.

A World First: sQLEAR Voice Quality Testing

The last 12 months also saw a world first – with our voice quality ML-based predictor, sQLEAR, becoming the world’s first ML-based standard for 5G VoNR voice quality testing approved by the ITU. The sQLEAR algorithm takes network parameters and standardized voice codec and client information and uses ML to provide operators with a real-time view of the true voice quality being delivered through their 4G and 5G networks and OTT voice services – significantly reducing both cost and time to market of new 5G voice services and cost-efficiently maintaining high-quality standards for existing VoLTE and OTT voice services.

Innovation Winning Awards

As a company, it is our duty to innovate, expand and further the technology within the network testing and management solution sector. Our aim is to always be on the cutting edge of advancements in technology. This innovation has been recognized within our industry with multiple award wins and nominations.

Leading Lights Awards: Outstanding Test & Measurement Vendor

Backing up this innovation has been a positive response from our customers and the industry. In addition to being shortlisted in Network Test and Measurement category at the Fierce Telecom Awards, we were thrilled to be named as Light Reading’s Outstanding Test & Measurement Vendor at the Leading Lights awards in December. The prize is awarded to the test and measurement vendor that stands out from its competitors, innovates constantly, and helps set the industry trends.

Frost Sullivan: Best Practices Award

Later in December, we were honoured again, this time by leading analyst house, Frost & Sullivan, with a 2022 Best Practices award for Global 5G New Radio Drive Test Solutions Market Leadership – citing Infovista’s product strength and ongoing innovation.

Bestowing the award, Sujan Sami, Research Director, Frost & Sullivan, observed, “Infovista aims to provide end-to-end support to communications service providers and enterprises, optimizing their networks and identifying and fulfilling customer needs. Continuous efforts in technology improve upon existing products and pave its roadmap to advance the market.”

Ativa shortlisted for Industry Awards

And it's not just been our testing and measurement solutions that have caught the eye this year. Ativa™, our new cloud-native Automated Assurance suite for 360° intelligence and operations across digital experiences, apps, services, networks and infrastructure was also shortlisted for several awards – being commended by judges in the Global Telecoms Awards, FutureNet Asia Awards, and Telecom Review Awards.

But the hard work doesn’t stop here, and there’ll be no resting on these laurels. Next year we’ll be expanding our market-leading suite of cloud-native network testing and measurement tools – continuing to change the way that CSPs manage their networks and ensuring that every single one of their subscribers can have access to the best possible user experience.

For now, we'll say thanks for reading, and wish you all the best for the festive season and the year ahead.
