This week, I had a great time in Milan, Italy for Cisco Live! EMEA. Bringing together network engineers, IT architects and senior IT leaders, among many others, this event offers a great opportunity for our team to learn more about the Cisco landscape and meet with our friends at Cisco.
Most recently, we collaborated with Cisco to bring to market our Application Visibility Services (AVS) solution, which allows communications service providers (CSPs) to provide enterprises with real-time insight into application performance via a multi-tenant, customer-facing portal. The solution was the first in the industry to receive Cisco's Interoperability Verification Test certification, which demonstrates its compatibility with Cisco Application Visibility & Control, and we were thrilled to showcase it at the event this week!
We're very pleased to have seen strong interest in AVS at the conference this week as well as from our own customers, including a recent deal with a leading European operator customer (our first Cisco AVC customer and the third operator overall that's using our AVS solution). The AVS solution is really attractive to CSPs because it allows them to increase their business service revenues by enabling application performance visibility for VPN, Internet and cloud service customers. Plus, CSPs can empower their customers to self-manage their services and needs with advanced, on-demand reporting capabilities.
Our CSP customers really appreciate these qualities and capabilities, and have told us that the AVS solution helps them better serve their own customers. One of Infovista's customers, a Tier 1 provider of IP-VPN services in APAC, shared with us a particularly complimentary comment from one of its subscribers: “It's pretty impressive and fast, and a huge step ahead of what I had in the past.” Further, he cited that his previous provider only reported on bits in and bits out, which is not sufficient in today's complex market. That's great feedback from an IP-VPN customer!
