To compete effectively in the Carrier Ethernet market, communications service providers (CSPs) must offer the best possible services and solutions and meet end users' high demands for capacity and network performance. That can sometimes be easier said than done, though, particularly when CSPs are relying on in-house reporting solutions.

In order to ensure a high quality of experience (QoE) for its customers and better monetize existing network offerings for wholesale and retail customers, U.S. operator WOW! recently deployed Infovista's network performance management solution, VistaInsight for Networks. WOW!, a CSP in the Midwest and Southeast U.S. that serves residential and business customers, is dedicated to ensuring a consistently excellent customer experience to drive its business success. To support that objective and guarantee the best possible customer experience, WOW! realized that it would need to ensure detailed and sophisticated SLA reporting.

To address that need, VistaInsight for Networks enables CSPs like WOW! to meet and exceed performance expectations and service-level guarantees for next-generation networks and IT services. The actionable service performance visibility of the software allows WOW! to rapidly support revenue-generating services by enabling a new level of control over the planning, deployment and operational phases of its Carrier Ethernet services.

Infovista's focus on Carrier Ethernet standards, particularly those of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), also plays a key role in its solutions for WOW!. VistaInsight for Networks provides broad vendor support, enabling CSPs to effectively manage quality of service (QoS) of their network architectures, thus maximizing the value of their Carrier Ethernet services.
