We know that telecommunications companies continue to face pressures to digitally transform. They have enormous potential to harness the power of 5G not only as a connectivity solution, but also as a business services platform.

CSPs are increasingly adopting cloud technologies to transform their IT and network systems. As a part of this transformation, many of the applications, like OSS (Operations Support Systems), BSS (Business Support Systems), and network functions that once resided in telecom environments, are now moving to the cloud.

Today, we’re excited to take another step forward. Infovista is joining Google Cloud’s initiative to deliver applications to the network edge with 5G and Anthos.

We know 5G

At Infovista, we know 5G. Our experts are supporting more than 300 5G trials and deployments with Tier 1 mobile network operators and leading 5G network vendors around the globe.

As part of the initiative that gathers more than 30 independent software vendors (ISVs), we aim to make available our cloud-native planning solution on Google Cloud, where it would offer a way to quickly scale out and automate many of the critical functions to roll out 5G networks and to assist with the ongoing planning requirements for both operators and enterprise customers that may deploy their own private LTE/5G networks.

We also aim to ease access to our unique service assurance portfolio, which enables CSPs to address new 5G slicing use cases and develop Network as a Service (NaaS) offerings, while guaranteeing their Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as they also unify and simplify RAN, Core and IP network/service operations and improve operational efficiency.

“As 5G networks grow, communications service providers have an opportunity to deliver cloud-native applications to businesses at the network edge, enabling new experiences for consumers or helping to streamline existing business processes,” said Tanuj Raja, Global Head, Strategic Partnerships at Google Cloud. “We’re excited that Infovista will support this shift by bringing its solutions in radio-planning and service assurance to Google Cloud.”

Cloud-native and open solutions for Radio Planning and Service Assurance

5G introduces disruptive and complex technologies such as multi-beam active antennas that can steer radio energy where users are concentrated. Using microservices architecture with open Application Programming Interfaces (API), Infovista’s cloud-native radio network planning solution will enable communication service providers to utilize advanced planning and design features, devised to efficiently reduce the time and cost of network deployment, through extensive automation.

Making the most of Google Cloud, which offers high availability and scalability, and leveraging Anthos as a common platform, Infovista’s cloud-native radio network planning solution will enable CSPs and enterprises to generate coverage, interference, throughput and other analysis and, in turn, enable capabilities such as auto-commissioning of sites and automation of other network planning and optimization workflows.

Beyond network deployment, Infovista and Google Cloud aim to support the digital transformation strategy initiated by many CSPs. The highly scalable, open and cloud-ready platform, Vista Insight from Infovista, diagnoses and automates network and service performance, giving operators using Google Cloud continuous control over their service quality in the most efficient way.

When it comes to mobile network management, they will also access a flexible, scalable solution for automating the inventory and configuration using Vista Twin. This will allow CSPs to drastically simplify network governance and share best configuration practices across groups, regions or countries, leveraging the scale and capabilities of Google Cloud, resulting in process efficiencies, faster operations, high network QoS and stability.

Infovista is pleased to be part of Google Cloud’s initiative and to deploy our full suite of 5G planning services as a cloud-native offering on Google Cloud as well as integrate its service assurance portfolio. These services will allow customers to rapidly deliver and deploy new vertical services and applications by leveraging Google Cloud core components.
