Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Futurecom 2012 in Rio de Janeiro. This event has great relevance to InfoVista due to our strong presence in the region's telco marketplace with customers like Telefonica Latin America, TIM Brasil and Telebras. We've made it a priority to attend Futurecom and use the event to its greatest extent to check in with our customers, prospects and partners, to understand their most pressing business and technology issues or focuses. This year, we noticed that communications service providers (CSPs) in Latin America are focused primarily on implementing mobile backhaul to deal with the cost of bandwidth issues, transforming or consolidating their OSS to improve network performance and optimize their service assurance practices, and, of course, launching LTE offerings.
Building upon these trends, my colleague Sergio Zveibil, senior technical consultant at InfoVista, later spoke with TeleSemana's Rafa Junquera about network performance management issues and solutions. In the following video, Sergio outlines why CSPs must closely monitor their performance management tools to ensure that their network infrastructures operate to the designed specifications and that the services delivered to end users are within contracted service level agreement (SLA) ranges. More specifically, Sergio explains how by implementing InfoVista's award-winning service assurance platform, both small and large Tier 1 CSPs globally are able to transform their OSS, consolidate their performance management tools and obtain the key end-to-end quality of service indicators (KQIs) across complex network management silos.
