MTN Cameroon Selects InfoVista to Consolidate Performance Management of Next-Generation Network
PARIS, France and HERNDON, Virginia—June 16, 2009—InfoVista (Euronext IFV-FR0004031649), global leader of proactive service assurance software solutions, today announced MTN Cameroon, the leading service provider in Cameroon’s mobile telephony market, has chosen to deploy InfoVista’s VistaInsight® for Networks and Mobile Knowledge Pack add-on module for end-to-end management of mobile data services to optimize the performance of its next-generation network.
To ensure the quality of its service through truly proactive performance management, MTN Cameroon—the Cameroonian entity of the South-African MTN Group, the leading provider of telecommunication services in Africa—has opted for VistaInsight for Networks and the Mobile Knowledge Pack to replace various tools currently in use across different network domains. The company needed a solution that would provide an end-to-end overview of its service performance and empower it to improve reliability through targeted, proactive troubleshooting of potential performance issues. A critical factor in MTN Cameroon’s decision to go with VistaInsight for Networks was the solution’s capacity to handle the different technologies currently implemented, as well as equipment from multiple network vendors.
