EMEA Professional Services Consultant (M/F)
The EMEA Professional Services team is a Business Unit inside EMEA Technology Services organization. Its goal is to deliver successful Infovista implementations to Customers, generate professional services revenues and reach margin targets, and as such is evaluated on these criteria.
The Professional Services Consultant is responsible for the delivery of performance management solutions based on the Infovista product set, within the EMEA region. He works as part of the implementation team working on the solutions designed by the Architects of the EMEA Professional Services team.
Project activities
- Investigate customer-specific requirements
- Analyse the customer’s IT infrastructure
- Establishment of a lab and test environment at the customer site
- Implement the Infovista solution as defined by the specifications provided by the Infovista Architect
- Creation of interfacing between the Infovista solution and third-party products for Provisioning and Data collection purposes
- Work towards project milestones (including User Acceptance Test phases).
- Ensure high quality of deliverables.
- Apply the Project Methodology recommended by InfoVista Professional Services
Organizational
- Provide regular reporting on PS activities to the management and the project manager
- Develop a good working atmosphere with the customer and Infovista team
- Report to the Infovista project manager and ProServ Manager
- Perform Knowledge exchange with the Consulting Team as well as with the PSDO Team and the Technical Support/Engineering Team
Experience
- BSc/BEng in Engineering or Science degree or equivalent. A minimum of 6 years work experience in a technical IT position.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working as an Infovista Consultant involved in the end-to-end delivery of Infovista projects
- 6 years of experience in Networks and Software
- Strong communication skills, extensive experience w/direct customer contact, including strong presentation skills
- Ability to work in multiple concurrent projects and clients and use effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation
- Strong organizational skills - attention to detail - disciplined
- Able to travel internationally within the EMEA region, especially in the Middle East for extended periods of time
- Experience with customer interaction on large projects Proven ability to work independently and interact with various teams to achieve project goals Professional English is mandatory

- Infovista VistaBridge
- SNMP / MIB technologies
- LAN/WAN technologies (IP / MPLS / ATM / DSL / Carrier Ethernet)
- HTML/XML
- Internet Security
- Perl scripting (very important) and possibly Java (not critical)
- System administration: Solaris, Linux and Windows Server
- Database knowledge: Oracle / SQL
- Experience with leading OSS/BSS products on FCAPS, mostly around Performance, Fault, Inventory and Activation
